Christians! How to address ourselves???

" I am a Hebrew and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land " – Jonah 1 : 9.

Sometimes, we Christians address ourselves just like the worldly peoples addressing themselves. We lack the power, authority and dignity as being the children of a very mighty God.

We should learn this from Jonah where he addressed himself before a group of pagan idols worshipers during the great storm.

We should address ourselves like this:-

" I am a Christian (Hebrew) and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land ".

And the end results of saying the above were as follow:-

(a) This terrified them (the pagan idols worshipers).
(b) They were afraid to lay a hand on Jonah in spite of the sea was getting rougher
and rougher.
(c) They greatly feared the LORD when the raging sea grew calm upon throwing
Jonah overboard.
(d) They offered a sacrifice to the LORD.
(e) They even made vows to the LORD.

This group of pagan idols worshipers had made vows to the LORD and the God of Jonah had become their God and Saviour (saved them from the raging sea).

In today version, our God and Saviour can still save anyone from the deadly consequences of sins like during the times of Jonah. Remember Jesus once said the peoples were asking for a sign but only the sign of Jonah be given.....

Therefore, from now on we should address ourselves like that of Jonah!!!

God bless...
